Trinity Church is situated on a high bluff above the Hudson River, overlooking uptown Manhattan and New York City. The George Washington Bridge lies to the north, the Lincoln Tunnel to the south - both major arteries into New York City. We are on several bus routes into the city. Cliffside Park is the southern-most town of Bergen County, and its populace is housed in a mixture of high-rise apartment buildings and private single homes. The towns along the river shore at the bottom of the cliff are undergoing massive redevelopment, with new townhouses being built at the water's edge. Several ferryboats carry passengers to their jobs in midtown Manhattan and Wall Street. For most of these developments, Trinity is the closest Episcopal church.
The church goes back almost 120 years. The size of the nave has led to the church's nickname of "The Cathedral of the Palisades". Trinity has had parish status for over 70 years.
